In this unprecedented time, all of us are doing what we can to make decisions that are in the best interest of our students, our alumni, our faculty and staff, and our collective communities. We are also abiding by the decisions and constraints that have been put into place at SD Mines.

Because of travel restrictions at SD Mines for faculty and staff, Athletic Director Joel Lueken, Hardrock Club Executive Director Maria Cadwallader, and President Jim Rankin will not be attending the Mines Masters on Saturday, April 4.

However, Mark Lux (MinE 80), has offered to assist with the tournament so that it can continue to be held in April.

If you have already registered and decide you’d rather not attend, we understand. Please email Sandy Carlson at Sandra.Carlson@sdsmt.edu and let her know. Also, if you choose to cancel your registration, let Sandy know if you would like your registration fees refunded or donated to the Hardrock Club so she can get that process started.

If you have general questions, please email HardrockClub@sdsmt.edu, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Thanks to everyone who has registered, and thanks for your patience as we navigate this very unpredictable situation.

Dr. Lisa Zacher (Chem 85) is the lucky winner of the Hardrock Club’s Jeep Raffle. She will have her choice of driving away a 2019 Jeep Wrangler or taking $15,000 in cash.

Max Patnoe, General Manager of Liberty Superstores, was on hand to draw the lucky ticket – number 77 – from the raffle drum at halftime of the SD Mines vs. BH State men’s basketball game on Friday, February 28, 2020.

Over the last five months, the Hardrock Club sold 989 of the 999 available tickets. While many tickets were sold locally, many others were purchased by friends, supporters, and alumni across the country.

The Hardrock Club and Hardrocker Athletics extend our sincere thanks to Liberty Superstores and to everyone who purchased a ticket or tickets to support this Jeep Raffle. All proceeds will benefit Hardrocker Athletic Scholarships through the Hardrock Club.
